Qdrant is a vector database written in Rust that handles semantic search, recommendation systems, and RAG pipelines with excellent performance. The API is clean, filtering is powerful, and it scales horizontally when you need it.

For AI applications that need retrieval, Qdrant is our default choice. The combination of vector similarity search with payload filtering means you can build sophisticated search experiences — "find documents similar to this one, but only from the last quarter, tagged as technical" — in a single query. Self-hosted or cloud, it just works.
