When a system is hard to maintain or change, I start by understanding what is worth keeping. I untangle applications and integrations, preserve useful business knowledge, and improve the parts holding you back.

That can mean incremental changes, a justified replacement, or an AWS migration, with architecture and release practice accounted for. The Hostettler client engagement combined a platform build with a move to AWS.
