jQuery UI
Datepickers and dialogs from 2010. Material UI replaced the need.
jQuery UI provided drag-and-drop, datepickers, dialogs, and autocomplete widgets when nothing else existed. The components work and the theming system was ahead of its time.
Modern component libraries are better in every dimension. Material UI, Radix, and headless UI libraries offer accessibility, responsive design, and React integration that jQuery UI was never designed for. In legacy codebases that still use jQuery, jQuery UI widgets continue to function. For anything new, reach for a React component library.
