Amazon ECS / Fargate

ECS with Fargate is container orchestration without the operational burden of Kubernetes. No nodes to manage, no control plane to maintain, no etcd to worry about. You define your task, set the resource limits, and AWS handles the rest.

We've run production workloads on Fargate for four years across multiple clients. Auto-scaling, rolling deployments, service discovery, and load balancing all work reliably. The integration with other AWS services — ALB, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager — is native and straightforward. For teams already invested in AWS, there's no reason to introduce Kubernetes complexity.
