SwiftUI brings declarative UI to Apple platforms — describe what you want, not how to build it. The same paradigm shift React brought to web development, applied natively across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Watch, and Vision Pro.

The integration with Apple's ecosystem is the advantage. Animations, gestures, accessibility, and platform-specific adaptations are built in. Live previews in Xcode make iteration fast. UIKit still exists for edge cases, but SwiftUI covers the vast majority of UI work with less code and better maintainability.
